Gouri Farms is a 6-acre organic farm situated situated in the Gudalur valley, about a km from the Gudalur town. We grow seasonal vegetables, coffee, pepper, various fruits and mushrooms. There are cows, goats, chicken, ducks, turkeys and other fowl.
Absolutely no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used. Vermi-composting generates the manure we need. Our bio-gas plant, provides both fuel and slurry, which is also used as a fertilizer manure. In addition, many traditional preparations like Panchakavya are used.
Our guests are welcome to observe the daily farm activities such as milking the cows, feeding the animals, tending the fields and cultivating mushroom.
